My little Wyatt is crawling, it seems it was just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital, but the time is flying by and before we know it he will be walking and talking. Now that he is crawling, he has learned and found that there is so much to explore and get into. That means, that it is time for us to get into gear and make sure that we cover all areas that he could possibly hurt himself in, including putting gates up in all doorways, especially ones with stairs. I think one of my greatest fears with babies is having a baby go tumbling down some stairs. Well, with Robert, his room is just off of the living room, and there are a few stairs that lead down into his room, and Wyatt being the little brother, naturally wants to go in there all of the time. Luckily for me, I was sent the Dreambaby®Retractable Gate to test out and review in my home. I like having this gate for so many reasons.

One is to keep my curious little crawler out of his brothers room when we are not in there with him, and two is to keep him from accidentally falling down the stairs to his brothers room. I also really like that when Wyatt is not in the living room, we do not have to worry about a gate taking up any extra room, all we have to do is retract the gate and Robert can come and go as he pleases. It is also easy to use, so say if Robert wants to get out of his room or go in his room and Wyatt is in the living room, we can easily open and close this gate to let Robert in and out. We found the installation process to be a very simple one as well, the hardware installs right on the door frame and does not get in the way of the actual door, and I like that if we want to move this gate to a different room later on, and say we are needing it to cover a larger space, the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate can cover a doorway up to 55 inches wide!

We love having the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate in our home and we have found that it will be a great gate to have in multiple rooms because it is so easy to install, so easy to use, and because it does not take up hardly any space like those big bulky gates do!
