When we think of Fathers Day we of course think of the dads in our lives. Like many, when I was growing up I saw my dad as a mighty super hero. It seemed as if he was the strongest man on Earth who was fearless and was our protector. And as a parent I see this same idea in the eyes of my kids when they look to their dad, seeing that he is the one they go to when they need strength, courage and that person to come to their rescue. So when I was given the chance to review one of the new CROSS Marvel Series writing tools from the Century II Marvel Pen Collection, I was excited to take a look at one of the pens and review the Iron Man pen from the collection!

I chose to go with Iron Man, because just like Iron Man, both my husband and my own dad are men who I see as very intelligent men. And like Iron Man, they are men who are not just intelligent but also strong and men who have a good heart.

When the pen arrived I found that it exceeded my expectations. I mean, this pen is not just any pen, it is a writing tool that gives the user a fine writing instrument that glides on the paper with ease with the rollerball when you are using it. The design on the pen itself is very stunning with the 23KT gold plating, which makes it a great piece to not only use but display. With the writing experience that you get, I like that the ink flows freely, which is similar to a fountain pen in that aspect, and when it comes to changing out the tips I like that I can choose from the different tips that are available from the CROSS line.

This pen also comes in its own luxury wooden storage box, which not only helps to keep this pen protected when not in use but also can be used to display the collectible pen. Along with the gorgeous pen and the box you also get a card that tells you about the character for your recipient to display with the pen if they choose. Then when it comes to completing the collection, I like that I can get the Captain America and Spider-Man pens from the Marvel series by heading to the CROSS website! Fishing Gifts for Dad with the Flip Reel

Fathers Day is just around the corner and it is time to find those gifts to get dad this year. Like many dads out there, my husband loves to fish. He enjoys spending his weekends on the water, and when it comes to finding gifts to get him for Fathers Day, I have found that fishing gifts can be exactly what he wants. So when we were sent the Flip Reel from Eartheasy to review, I was very excited to learn more about this reel and also add it to my list of great gift ideas for dad.
