Father's Day is Sunday and like many little ones out there, my kids have been busy looking for those gifts, making fun gifts, and getting ready to make their dad's day a special one! Naturally, when Wyatt thinks about ways to make someone's day special, he thinks of some of his favorite things, the things that he enjoys and would find to make any of his days extra special. And being a fan of that quirky pig, Peppa Pig, he finds that adding Peppa fun into the mix can really make all the difference. So when we were given the chance to create a personalized Peppa Pig book to give to my husband for Father's Day from Penwizard, Wyatt was very excited to create his book to his dad and also see the finished product.

To get started with making the special book for his dad, Wyatt and I went onto the Penwizard site and found the "My Daddy" book that we went with for Father's Day. From there we chose the personalize now option. Wyatt found this part of the process to be a lot of fun because right away, he was able to begin creating a fun story to share with his dad where he was able to add himself and his dad into the story. For Wyatt we chose the boy selection, added his name, and Wyatt and I picked out the hair, eye, and skin color for his character. After choosing his character, Wyatt then got to create a character that looked like his dad, and complete his book.

Then when Wyatt's book to his dad arrived, he was very excited to be the first to check it out and listen to his story as I read it to him. Wyatt, was pleasantly surprised to see his name in the book, and also excited to see the characters that we created in the book as well. But even more so, Wyatt is very excited to share the book we made with his dad this Father's Day to show his dad what he made! The holiday season is upon us and as we drive around the towns we live in, we can not help but notice and admire all of the beautiful decorations that neighbors have up. Along with adding lights to our house, I also enjoy spending time with my family to pick out, cut and decorate our Christmas tree each year. The thing is, this past year when we took our tree down, the tree topper I had that had been used for several years, broke. I was not sure who was more excited, but once we plugged in the tree and turned on our tree topper, we were all in awe. We found it to be the perfect addition and when we turned the lights in the house off to just have the tree lights on, we really liked that this topper appeared to be magical, making look as if Santa and his sleigh were flying around the star in the air!

With the holidays coming up and the weather getting colder, we find that we tend to spend a lot more time indoors and with our families.
