One of the things that I enjoy about being a mom, is feeding my kids imaginations. I find it to be a lot of fun playing with the kids, and finding products that can really take that imaginative play to another level. With Wyatt getting bigger, he wants to be included in all of the play that his older siblings engage in, so I like to find toys that are both fun and safe for him and his older siblings to play with.
As the weather continues to get warmer, we find that we not only like to head to the park on any given day for a lunchtime picnic, but we also like to have fun and have pretend picnics both at home and at the park. To help with fueling those pretend picnics in our home, we were sent a variety of play food products from HABA. In this set, a piece that is one of my favorites and is one the kids like a lot as well is the Sushi set. I mean, what is a picnic without sushi, lol?
I love the soft, pretend food toys, and the lifelike look of the food. The kids also like how real the food appears, and they like not only having a pretend picnic, but also playing with the foods in their kitchen as well.
When I go to think of summer picnics, well you have to have pie, and the HABA Apple Pie makes for a great pretend dessert! I like how the kids can pretend to cut up the apples, then put them in the pie crust, and add the apples, then add the top of the pie, to make it feel as if they made their own homemade Apple Pie!
Another classic when it comes to summer picnics is the hotdog, so naturally having the HABA Hotdog, along with the Ketchup and Mustard that are easy and fun to quirt, helps to make their pretend picnics with HABA complete! I like that with all of the products, they are soft, and the kids can construct and deconstruct the food items over and over again, leaving them with many fun picnics to be had!
Aside from the play food toys from HABA, to complete the pretend picnics, I like to add a real refreshing treat for the kids to enjoy, and what better than some homemade popsicles made from the fun HABA Silicone Popsicle Tray with Penguins! I can add my own fruit juices to the tray, then place in the freezer for a refreshing cold treat on those hot summer days! In all, we found the products we were sent from the HABA collection to be a great addition to our pretend picnics, and I like that I can find other great pretend food items to add to our collection when I head on over to the HABA online store! Well to get your own Summer playdates and picnics started off right, the wonderful people from HABA would like to send one of my amazing readers the same set of products I was sent!
This was not a paid post and honest/original opinions were used and they are my own. Thank you to the company and/or pr agency who supplied the product for review.
