Reflections of 2010 with a Toast to the New Year!

As we reflect on the year of 2010 and celebrate the New Year with friends and family, I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe New Year!! In 2010 we had a lot of obstacles to face and hurdles to get over. With my husband being a full time student and nearing the completion of his degree, there was a whole lot more of his time put towards school and of course with me being the only one working this year, finances became a whole lot tighter. We gained full custody of my daughter in late January, which was a very bitter sweat victory!! We faced many medical emergencies in the Spring with our 2 year old son who had a lung disorder. From seizures caused by incredibly high fevers, to fluid building up in his lungs. Then in August of 2010 our prayers were finally answered when the doctors decided it was time to go through with the long awaited surgery that our little man desperately needed to strive in life. Going through a familiar heartbreak with a dear friend of mine, who in a very unfortunate twist of fate, lost her baby girl 2 days before her due date. Medical issues with family, which I have taken as an eye opener, a warning so to say. 2010 has been a year of many ups and downs, as is the way of life. Over the past few years I have learned to take life for the way it is and not question what I have been given but to take everything, the good and the bad, as a blessing. Here's to obstacles overcome, and joys remembered. 2010 maybe gone but not forgotten, as of the many years passed!!
