Solarcaine First Aid Medicated Spray Review and Giveaway Closed!!

Being a parent, I am always having to doctor boo boos and owies. There are times that these scrapes and cuts can be quite painful and trying to get a child to sit still so you can apply a medicated ointment can be a task all in its own. So when I was given Solarcaine First Aid Medicated Spray to review, I was very curious to see how this would work in my home. My kids love running outside and riding their bikes, and with this type of play we get a whole lot of owies. It was not but a few minutes after receiving the package with the Solarcaine First Aid Medicated Spray, that we had an accident and my son had fallen on the sidewalk and scraped his knee. OUCH!! Of course he screamed and he did not want mommy to put anything on it. Well I was barely able to wash the dirt out and get the scrape cleaned up, while he was trying to get away from me. This spray was very handy for this kind of moment. I grabbed the spray and sprayed his knee. He immediately stopped, I think for the most part was because he was trying to figure out what I had just done to him. But he did not cry again. I asked him if it was all better and he said yes then ran off and went back to playing. Later on, after my kids came in, I checked his knee to see if it had any swelling or redness. Surprisingly, it looked great. I was still a sceptic. So the next morning when I gave him a bath, I noticed that he still didnt have any swelling and he had not complained about it either. Well, I have a new medicated product that I can use on my kids. Nice.

I will be giving one of my readers a can of Solarcaine, courtesy of Coppertone.

Thank you!!!

I just got home and was going through all of my comments. Thank you everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! He is doing ok for the time being. It has been a very long day and with my nerves the way they are I have a feeling this will be a long night. I know he will be ok. We are hoping that after seeing the doctor tomorrow and after the tests they have scheduled in the morning, he will be able to come home. They are not quite sure why this happened to him and what caused it. Hopefully we will get some answers tomorrow so we can know what we are dealing with and how we will have to deal with this as well. All of his blood work has been good so far, so that is a plus. I hope everyone has a good night and thank again for all of the thoughts and prayers, they are very comforting.

My Hubby :'(

Last night my husband, who is only 32 years old, started to complain of chest pain. It began around 10:30pm. He tried to ignore it until it began to get sharper and started making his chest get tight. He went to the hospital and they admitted him. He ended up having to stay the night up there. Just got the news and its not horrible but its not good either. He will have to stay the day and they want to keep till at least tomorrow. I never expected for something like this to happen to him. Like I said before, he is only 32. He had just quit smoking when our son had surgery because he wanted to better himself for us. God, I pray that he will be ok. The doctors think he had a mild heart attack and they are scared it could happen again. Last night, when he got to the hospital and they checked his vitals, they were bad. Blood pressure, way up, pulse way up and he was clammy and loosing color. They immediately took him back and gave him some nitrates. I am only 28, way too young to be loosing my 32 year old husband to a heart attack. Our kids are still babies, we have so much planned for the future. He will graduate this Spring from IT school. This cant be happening. For right now, I am just going to pray and wait for what the doctors have to say.
